If you’re looking for love this Valentine’s you might just find it at the supermarket.

Finding love at Asda

We’re holding speed dating sessions on Monday 13th February in the Asda cafe at 80 of our stores.

For one night only we’ll be giving our cafes a romantic makeover to encourage single shoppers to mingle with each other between 7pm and 9pm.

It’s not as far-fetched as you might think – many of our colleagues have already found love at Asda. And our latest Pulse of the Nation survey found nearly half (47%) of customers have met potential partners while shopping.

Our survey also showed best way to tell if someone is single is to see what they’re buying – with meals for one being a dead giveaway.

If you’d like to take part in one of our speed dating events simply turn up on the night – see where they’re taking place.

If your partner loves pizza and chocolate why not combine both this Valentine’s Day and share our romantic “Sweetheart Pizza”.

Sweetheart Pizza from Asda

It might sound strange but if you love Nutella – or chocolate pancakes – you’ll love this!

The thin crispy base is covered with loads of dark chocolate and hazelnut spread and topped with milk and white chocolate chips, fudge pieces and mini marshmallows.

Simply cook it like a normal pizza then decorate with the marshmallows and pop it back in to the oven for two minutes.

It costs just £3.50 – ask for it at the pizza counter in store while stocks last.

If you’re hoping for lingerie this Valentine’s Day it’s not just the thought that counts – it’s the size!

George Valentine's lingerie

We took four of our George lingerie models to Carnaby Street as a fun reminder to make sure men buy the right size gifts this Valentine’s. The girls braved the freezing temperatures in just their underwear for our photoshoot.

When we asked shoppers and onlookers if they knew their partner’s bra size most of the men we spoke to admitted they didn’t – or couldn’t remember.

This backed up what some of our George Facebook fans said when we asked the same question:

Leanne Fairley: Nope!!! Just asked – what’s my bra size? Answer – big!!! ha ha!

Jane Langdon: He has no idea after 22 years together.

Hazel Gillard: Just asked my other half, he guessed I was a size too small but I will let him off lol xx

So if you’re dropping hints about Valentine’s gifts to get this week make sure your man knows what size to get – or order it for him!

You can see our full George lingerie range for more inspiration.
