We’ve been supporting Tommy’s for 13 years, helping to fund research into pregnancy complications such as stillbirth, miscarriage and premature birth and provide free pregnancy health information for all parents-to-be.

We’ve teamed up with Tommy’s to lend a helping hand to would-be-parents by giving out “Having a Healthy Pregnancy” guides in our Asda Pharmacies across the UK for free.

The guide is Tommy’s staple pregnancy health publication, produced to help women maximize their pregnancy health.

The full-colour-book includes a pregnancy calendar, antenatal care, birth preparations and what to expect during labour and birth.

And with the help of our funding, the guide also covers evidence-based lifestyle advice – including diet and nutrition, weight management, exercise, smoking cessation and maintaining good mental well-being.

Faisal Tuddy, Deputy Superintendent Pharmacist at Asda said: “Working in partnership with Tommy’s, we will continue to help provide support and advice for women trying for a baby, mums-to-be and new mums. Women can visit any Asda Pharmacy, at any time, for information or guidance on pregnancy starting from as early as the pre-conception stage – and it costs nothing.”

We were delighted to win the “Best Family Supermarket” Award at the Tommy’s Baby-Friendly Awards last year – and we’re in the running again for this year’s awards!

It’s the third year in a row that we’ve won the title – and with your help we’re hoping we can make it a fourth! We’ve also been nominated for awards for Best online baby retailer and Best baby changing facilities.

The awards recognise companies and organisations that help to make a difference to the lives of parents across the UK and you have until February 18th to cast your votes. The winners will be announced in March 2013.
