A big thank you to all our fantastic customers and colleagues who’ve helped make this year’s Tickled Pink such a big success.

Everyone’s phenomenal effort means we’ve now raised a total of £51.5 million over the last 20 years to support the work of Breast Cancer Care and Breast Cancer Now.

This year’s charity campaign was bigger and better than ever – and we’ve loved seeing the fun and inventive fundraising activities that took place in our stores and local communities across the country.

Tickled Pink

Colleagues from stores across Devon and Somerset teamed up for a fun egg and spoon race on a muddy obstacle course all in aid of Tickled Pink.

Colleagues

The event took place at ‘The Bear Trail’ in Cullompton, Devon, and the colleagues bravely tried to carry the eggs on zip wires, through mud pits and over climbing nets.

They all got colleagues plus family and friends to sponsor them and raised an impressive £860 for Breast Cancer Care and Breast Cancer Now.

Tickled Pink

Customers and colleagues enjoyed a fun day in store at Asda Liscard this month which raised a fantastic £629.39 for Tickled Pink – thanks to everyone who donated.

The store’s Community Champion Jo Winterton teamed up with fellow Community Champions Helen-Louise from Asda Bromborough and Ian from Asda Arrowe Park to put on fundraising activities and games including pass the parcel around store.

Weston-super-Mare colleague Michelle Harding has been making customers smile with her Tickled Pink challenge this year.

Just like that ... Tommy Cooper, or is it Matt Smith's Dr Who?

Michelle, who works on our Kiosk counter in store, wore 20 different fancy dress outfits in 20 days and customers loved seeing what she was going to wear next.

Star Trek fan

Michelle loves any excuse to dress up – in her spare time she volunteers at costume conventions with Optimus who hold regular events for fans of comic, film and TV characters.

Tickled Pink

Our Westwood store’s Community Champion Noeleen McMahon hosted a special coffee morning at St Agnes Parish to raise money for Breast Cancer Care and Breast Cancer Now.

Noeleen welcomed members of the local community along with Dr Niamh Buckley, Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Cancer Research and Cell Biology. They all enjoyed tea, coffee and cakes and a chat while she provided an insight into her work.
