Tickled Pink

Thanks for helping us raise £30 million for Tickled Pink!

After 16 years of fundraising, today we can announce we’ve raised a massive £30 million to help fight cancer through our Tickled Pink campaign.

We’d like to say a massive thank you and well done to all our customers and colleagues who have helped us to raise this fantastic amount for Breast Cancer Campaign and Breast Cancer Care since Tickled Pink started in 1996. Your support has helped to raise awareness and money for the treatment of breast cancer in the UK.

Here’s Zoe Hardman, TV presenter and Tickled Pink Ambassador, explaining how the money raised by Tickled Pink has helped the two charities:

Thanks to Tickled Pink’s support, Breast Cancer Care have been able to offer an award winning helpline and services to people diagnosed or affected by breast cancer in the UK. And it has helped them to fund and distribute their “Moving Forward” publications to over 3 million people affected by breast cancer across the UK each year.

Our Tickled Pink campaign has also funded 78 innovative Breast Cancer Campaign research projects in the UK that have investigated ways to diagnose breast cancer earlier and treat it more effectively. And with your support we helped to fund the UK’s first ever national Breast Cancer Campaign Tissue Bank – to address the need and provide thousands of samples to scientists throughout the UK and Ireland.

Paul Kelly, external affairs director at Asda, said: "The past 16 years of Asda’s Tickled Pink campaign have been remarkable. We have raised funds to help fight breast cancer through a unique partnership with two of the UK’s leading breast cancer charities and have raised £30 million with the support of our inspirational colleagues, suppliers and customers.

“We see Tickled Pink as our chance to do something that really makes a difference to all those people affected by breast cancer in the UK – helping fund the vital research, support services and one-day hopefully a cure.”

Look out for ways you can help support this fantastic cause – there will be lots of fundraising activities going on in stores throughout the year as well as limited edition Tickled Pink products to buy!
