Top fashion designer Julien Macdonald has created a Bag for Life for Asda customers for the second year running to help raise money for this year’s Tickled Pink campaign.

The beautiful limited edition designer bag is in stores now with 72p from the sale of each £2.50 bag going to our Tickled Pink breast cancer charities.

Julien, whose clothes have been worn by the likes of Beyonce, Kylie and Cheryl Cole, was Creative Director at Givenchy and now runs his own British fashion label.

The vibrant, blue and hot pink bag reflects the British designer’s love for abstract prints – with its beautiful flamingo and heart print design.

Tickled Pink

Thanks to everyone who suggested a name for our Tickled Pink gingerbread lady on Facebook! By popular demand, we’ve called her “Hope”.


She’ll be available from our in-store cafes from 16th September and 10p from every sale will go to our Tickled Pink campaign.

Although we’ve offered gingerbread men and even gingerbread reindeer at Christmas before this will be the first time we’ve put a gingerbread lady on the menu!

Tickled Pink


We’re delighted to announce that Stuart Weaver will be joining Asda colleague Maxine Green in modelling at this year’s annual Breast Cancer Care fashion show!

At the Grosvenor House Hotel on October 2nd, Stuart will be strutting his stuff alongside 24 women who, like him, have all had a diagnosis of breast cancer.

Stuart, 44, was first diagnosed when he was just 36-years-old. He said: "My world stopped when I was diagnosed. My kids were only 10 and eight at the time. I felt so alien as a man and I felt completely alone.

“I had a mastectomy in 2005, followed by chemotherapy, radiotherapy and herceptin. Then, six and a half years later, I felt pain in my chest again. Initially I thought it was pain from the gym as I had just started a new regime. But the cancer had spread to my sternum. I had this removed followed by chemo and herceptin.
