Colleague Noeleen hosts a special coffee morning for Tickled Pink

Our Westwood store’s Community Champion Noeleen McMahon hosted a special coffee morning at St Agnes Parish to raise money for Breast Cancer Care and Breast Cancer Now.

Noeleen welcomed members of the local community along with Dr Niamh Buckley, Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Cancer Research and Cell Biology. They all enjoyed tea, coffee and cakes and a chat while she provided an insight into her work.

Noeleen said: “Hosting a coffee morning is a great way not only to raise money for this important cause, but also awareness of breast cancer. Our colleagues and customers have always been incredibly supportive of our fundraising activities.”

Niamh said: "Breast cancer is a devastating disease, and every penny counts when it comes to the research that Breast Cancer Now is funding. Great progress has been made, but there is still much more to do which is why campaigns like Tickled Pink are so important.

“This coffee morning is an example of how local communities are directly helping to raise the money needed to fund further research and support those diagnosed with breast cancer.”
