Here to help - our Asda Opticians

Our in-store opticians at Asda provide a combination of expert advice, fantastic everyday low prices and the convenience of extended opening hours so you can fit in a visit at a time that’s convenient to you.

There are more than 80 Asda Opticians across the UK – check our store locator for opening times.

Our fully qualified optometrists are dedicated to helping you understand your vision requirements and offer full sight tests and advice to help find the best glasses for you. You’ll receive a copy of your prescription to take away and we will let you know when your next sight test is due.

Regular eye tests are important for more than just correcting your vision. They can reveal a number of other underlying problems such as glaucoma and diabetes. Our optometrists will refer you to your GP or specialist if necessary.

Our dispensing opticians are fully trained to help you choose the right pair of frames and you can call in any time for a free five-point check on your glasses. We’ll look at the way they fit, adjust them if necessary and clean and polish your lenses while you’re shopping.

We’ve also expanded our range of glasses with a great selection of designer brands such as Jigsaw, Vision by Conran and Bench. All of these come with anti-reflective and scratch resistant lenses – and thinner or tinted lenses are also available. We have a large range of kids’ glasses with many of your favourite characters and brands: SpongeBob, Batman and Hannah Montana as well as our stylish Zero X range for teen boys and girls. All under 16s get their Asda glasses free with an NHS voucher when selecting from our kids’ range of frames.

If you wear contact lenses we offer you the contract-free option of buying your lenses as you go – guaranteeing you the best price per box. Through a full contact lens assessment our opticians can help you find the most comfortable and affordable lenses to suit your needs. We also provide a regular aftercare service to check the health of your eyes and your contact lens specification.

You may be entitled to an eye test funded by the NHS and financial help towards the cost of your glasses. If you’re not sure if you’re entitled to this full details are given in leaflets HC11 and HC12 (available by calling 08701 555 455). You can also visit the NHS website or speak to one of our optical colleagues for advice.
