What’s happened?

Pepsico is recalling some batches of Doritos Lightly Salted Corn Chips because they contain soya and wheat (gluten) which are not mentioned on the label. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to wheat or gluten, and/or an allergy to soya. No other Doritos products are affected.

What should you do?

If you have one of the affected packs please call the Doritos Consumer Care line on 0800 274777 or please return to store to receive a full refund.

Mamas & Papas Aureus G123 car seat

Following a series of safety checks, Mamas & Papas have identified a potential safety concern with a number of car seats that were sold through Asda, Tesco, Shop Direct and some independent retailers. They were also sold through the Mamas & Papas website and their factory stores. In the event of an accident the car seat shell may crack and therefore not provide the intended level of protection to the user.

The seats affected are Mamas & Papas Nembus, Mamas & Papas Aureus, Mamas & Papas Group 123, Mamas & Papas Altair. All are Group 123 car seats. You can identify the seat by comparing the orange label on the back with the one shown above. The approval code should match and is 04 44596. The Mamas & Papas Aureus was the only seat sold by Asda.

Mamas & Papas can assure customers that none of the affected car seats have been on sale since March 2015 and there have been no reports of any incidents involving any of the affected car seats.

If you have purchased the above seat, you should immediately stop using the product and contact Mamas & Papas Customer Services team on 03332 412154. A designated courier service will collect the car seat. You will be issued with a refund or replacement.

Alternatively, please bring your car seat into a Mamas & Papas store and our advisors will issue a refund or a suitable replacement product. Proof of purchase is not required. If you purchased your car seat from Asda, please contact Mamas & Papas
directly.

How do I know if I have an affected M&P Car Seat?

  • 1. Compare it with the photos shown here.
  • 2. Check it is a Mamas & Papas branded car seat, there will be a tag to the front of the product.
  • 3. Find the approval number on the orange label on the back of your seat and check that the number is the same as those listed. The approval number of affected products is 04 44596.

A small amount of our Thin Cut Beef Sizzle Steak with the above date has been packed incorrectly with some Beef Sirloin Steak with Garlic and Herb Butter. The Beef Sirloin Steak contains milk and this is not declared on the packaging.

What you should do?

If you have purchased some of the Thin Cut Beef Sizzle Steak with the above date please bring it back to your nearest store where you will be given a full refund. You do not need your receipt.

We’re truly sorry for the unacceptable conditions found in our Park Royal store in September 2015, as reported in the media following a court hearing last Friday.

We’d like to reassure all our customers that we took immediate action last year to restore the high standards you expect from us, reviewing and improving pest control and hygiene processes across our business.

We’ve addressed the specific issue at Park Royal with significant investment, improvements to the building and bakery as well as clearing land around the store.

You can be confident that our food safety and hygiene procedures have been updated and improved, particularly around pest control.

The video below shows the focus our colleagues put on food safety and hygiene, backed up by independent food safety audits.

We apologise to our customers at Park Royal for our failures in September last year and hope all the measures we’ve taken at the store and across the business will reassure you of the high standards we set when it comes to food safety and hygiene.
