We've cut the price of unleaded petrol and diesel by 2p per litre
We’re cutting the price of unleaded petrol and diesel by 2p a litre – from tomorrow you’ll pay no more than 111.7p per litre at all our filling stations across the UK.
We’re the first retailer to cut fuel prices after a fall in the wholesale cost of oil.
RAC spokesman Simon Williams said: “This is excellent news for motorists. But it’s particularly good to see a major supermarket reducing the price of diesel in line with petrol as the wholesale costs of both fuels are currently very similar.”
And Luke Bosdet from the AA said: “UK average petrol prices have been stuck at around 116.5p a litre for the past six weeks and drivers were wondering when they were going to see the benefit of lower oil prices. Asda’s move will hopefully break the logjam.”
