Britain's lowest priced supermarket - for the 15th year running!
It’s official – we’ve been named Britain’s lowest priced supermarket for the 15th year in a row. And to celebrate, we’ve launched a new TV advert highlighting 1500 rollbacks across our stores.
Thanks to our dedicated colleagues and customers, we’ve once again won the Grocer 33 Price Award, which compares the prices of everyday items across all the main supermarkets every week. No other supermarket has ever won the prestigious title in the award’s history.
And to prove that your money will go further at Asda than other supermarkets we’re giving you the chance to win £100 to spend on your weekly shop at Asda. To enter our competition simply fill in your details using the form below before noon on Tuesday 3rd July 2012.
We’ve also been named the UK’s Favourite Supermarket for the second year running at the Grocer Gold awards – the food and drink industry’s equivalent of the Oscars.
It’s all part of our commitment to offer everyday low prices, under-pinned by the Asda Price Guarantee – if we’re not 10% cheaper on your comparable grocery shopping we’ll give you the difference.
Andy Clarke, CEO and President of Asda, said: "We’re really proud to win the Lowest Price Supermarket title for the 15th year in a row and to be named Britain’s Favourite Supermarket.
“We’re now committed to driving as hard on quality as we do on price all backed up with our famous ‘happy to help’ customer service. It’s a winning combination that’s the secret to staying ahead of the market and gaining more customers.”
Adam Leyland, editor of the Grocer, said: “Asda make it look easy. It’s anything but. Every year The Grocer 33 ups the stakes – we’re tracking 3000 products across the big five retailers now – and Asda has also added smaller stores to its mix with its acquisition of Netto. Yet it’s won The Grocer 33 award for the 15th year on the trot. That takes some beating.”
Update: Our competition to win £100 to spend on your shopping is now closed – we’ll be picking a winner shortly. Thanks for your entries!
