Our generous customers and colleagues have raised an amazing £274,413 to help fight heart disease.

We teamed up with the British Heart Foundation earlier this year for their Ramp up the Red campaign. Colleagues at more than 400 Asda stores dressed in red and held fund-raising events throughout February.

Fundraising activities included bucket collections and a “red raffle” where customers could win red prizes. Store managers took part in a “Guess the number of steps” challenge by wearing pedometers throughout the day – colleagues had to guess how far they would walk.

Defibrillators in store: We’ve started putting defibrillators in store – by the end of 2014 there will be one in all of our stores, depots and offices. The life-saving equipment will be available for the general public to use in an emergency as well as customers and colleagues. Find out more.
