Colleagues at Asda St Leonards-on-Sea celebrate Galentine's Day

Our St Leonards-on-Sea colleagues Wendy Border and Paula Jones, who’ve been close friends since the store opened six years ago, are celebrating Galentine’s Day.

Galentine’s Day – 13th February – is a day for celebrating friendship and, to mark the occasion, Wendy, Paula and two other colleagues from our St Leonards-on-Sea store met up to celebrate their amazing friendship.

Wendy, who’s the store’s Community Champion, got in touch with us to tell us about her friendship with Front End colleague Paula, as well as General Merchandiser Ruth Reynolds and George and General Merchandise Trading Manager Tracy Martin.

She said: "We all joined at the same time when the store opened around six years ago we all just clicked straightaway – we’re like family.

“We all meet up for coffee, cake and a chat once a week and we have great banter when we’re at work together too.

“Paula got married a couple of years ago and asked me to be Maid of Honour which was wonderful. If it hadn’t been for Asda, I would never have got that opportunity and I’d never have enjoyed these amazing friendships.

“We just all bounce off each other. Paula and I were working together the other week and a customer said it was lovely to see a mother and daughter working together! That made us laugh.

“With Ruth and Tracey, it’s like they’ve known each other for 20 years, they even finish each other’s sentences! They go on holiday together somewhere hot at least once a year and have a fabulous time.”
