Dance show goes on thanks to George colleague Sophie!

Five-year-old Evie (top left) and her friends at the Denise Ward Academy of Dance are all smiles after their performance this week – after a George colleague stepped in to save the show at the eleventh hour.

The girls had spent months rehearsing for the show but when it came to the dress rehearsal they found they were missing a headband for their outfits.

Evie’s mum Natalie had spent weeks trying to find a matching set and finally contacted George head office in desperation. She told us: “We have scoured the stores in and around Wolverhampton and found nine but desperately need one more. Unfortunately they were sale items but perfect for our outfits. We are hoping and praying you may be able to track one down for us.”

Sophie Ironman from our merchandising team at George managed to track down the last remaining headband – a sample headband from our supplier – and sent it on in time for the show.

Natalie was delighted and said: “I am so thrilled that Asda have tracked down the headband for Evie. The Dance show was fab! All the girls enjoyed themselves.”
