How families can save £50 a month by reducing food wastage

If you get to the end of the week and find yourself having to throw away uneaten food you’re not alone!

Each year in the UK we throw away a staggering 7.2 million tonnes of food and drink from our homes – and more than half of this could have been eaten. That’s equivalent to £680 worth of food per family, or £50 a month.

No one likes wasting good food so we’ve teamed up with WRAP’s Love Food Hate Waste campaign to help you reduce food wastage.

Not only will you save money, you’ll also be doing the environment a favour – if we all stopped wasting food the benefit would be the equivalent of taking one in five cars off the road.

There’s loads more information and advice on the Love Food Hate Waste website.
