Visit Open Farm Sunday and meet the farmers who grow our food
On Sunday 17th June farms across the country will be throwing open their gates to the public to celebrate Open Farm Sunday.

Sponsored by Asda, and with many of our suppliers taking part, Open Farm Sunday offers a rare chance to see and hear the stories behind the food we eat, and understand the journey that takes produce from the farm to our shelves.
Over 20 Asda suppliers are taking part including many of our Beeflink and Lamblink farmers. Just some of the farms you can visit include:
John Stott at Laund Farm, Preston
During Open Farm Sunday there’ll be sheep milking, sheep clipping, dog trials and a cheese making demonstration. John was 2011 British Sheep Farmer of the Year and supplies lamb exclusively to Asda.
Roger Hildreth at Curlew Fields Farm, Hessay, York
Activities for the day include tours of the farm and machinery displays. Roger is the current Asda DairyLink Farmer of the Year and has been supplying milk to Asda since 2007.
Chris Evans at Lee Valley Farm, Waltham Abbey, Essex
At Lea Valley Farm there’ll be a dancing sheep show, Lamb National, tours of the dairy and tractor and trailer rides. DairyLink farm Lee Valley has been supplying milk exclusively to Asda since 2005.
Brian Spence at Great Wood Farm, Boothby Pegnell, Lincolnshire
Open Farm Sunday activities include a hog roast, tractor and trailer rides and guess the weight of the hay and lambs. There’s also a nursery school on site where children can learn about farming and animals.
