Local youth centre launches new supermarket in Market Weighton

We officially opened our new Asda Supermarket in Market Weighton this week following its transformation from a former Netto store.

On hand to help us cut the ribbon at the opening ceremony was Market Weighton Youth Centre worker Jane Towse who was delighted to unveil the new store on High Street.

The centre works alongside the Market Weighton Senior School to provide younger members of the community with advice and support, including teaching them how to cook.

Currently they are raising funds to plan a trip to Malawi next year to support local communities in various projects.

Jane and other representatives from the centre were invited to open the store by manager Dennis Millar and colleagues at the new store, who wanted to show their appreciation for the centre’s work in the local community.

Our new store aims to work closely with our neighbours in future to get behind good causes in the local area.

It brings more than 10,000 products – including all of our own brand ranges like Chosen by you and Extra Special – to the high street, offering a convenient place for you to do your full grocery shop.

Find out more about our new format Asda Supermarkets or check out Market Weighton’s store page for opening hours and a list of services.
