Click and Collect service now available at London Underground

London commuters can now get their Asda shopping delivered to their choice of London Underground station to pick up on their way home.

Asda customers are the first in the world to trial this type of service which launches today in partnership with Transport for London (TfL).

You can order online before noon for same day collection after 4pm at one of six tube station car parks. The first stations to offer this service are: East Finchley, Harrow and Wealdstone, High Barnet, Highgate, Stanmore and Epping. Same day ordering costs £1.50 per order with a minimum basket spend of £15.

We’re planning to extend our Click and Collect service by offering 1000 new collection points by 2018 including park and ride sites, business parks and Underground station car parks.

The technology behind the Same Day collection service has been developed together with Walmart labs in California, part of our parent company.

Our Retail director Mark Ibbotson says: "Customers in the South East tell us that they want the prices and quality provided by Asda value but they can’t access it easily. This tie-up with TfL solves that.

“We believe customers will value the convenience of collecting shopping at their home tube station rather than carrying the products bought in premium convenience stores on their commute home.”

If the trial is successful we plan extend the scheme to other areas of London and the South East.
