Baby Holly returns to the Asda store where she was born

Meet Holly Jakubecz – the baby who surprised everyone last month when she was born in an Asda car park!

Holly made the headlines when she put in a sudden appearance just outside the store on 13th March, a few days after her due date. She was delivered safe and well weighing a healthy 8lb 4oz with the help of a passerby after mum Jessica Sansom went into sudden labour.

Colleagues at Asda Coalville in Leicestershire invited Holly and Jessica back into store for Mother’s Day to celebrate.

As you can see from the photos Holly seems right at home at Asda! Store manager John O’Meara and colleagues presented Jessica with a colourful bouquet of spring flowers and a selection of baby products.

John said: "It all happened so quickly and Holly really did arrive with very little fuss. Fortunately, a paramedic and then an ambulance arrived in quick succession and whisked them off to hospital for a check-up, so we didn’t really have much of an opportunity to welcome her at the time!

“We’re really pleased to see both mum and baby doing so well and we wanted to make sure we gave them both a special Asda treat.”
