Get together with your neighbours and have a Big Jubilee Lunch
We’re backing the Eden Project’s Big Lunch initiative and encouraging as many people as possible to get together with their neighbours on Sunday 3rd June and hold a Big Jubilee Lunch.
It’s not too late to organise a lunch yourself – you’ll find details on the Big Lunch website and some inspiration for what to bring to your lunch in the TV and cinema ad above – which features contributions from Barbara Windsor and Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall
We’re proud to be an official partner of the Big Lunch. We want every Asda store and depot to play an active role in their local community, and the Big Lunch is a great way to get to know your neighbours and have a bit of fun.
The Eden Project set up the initiative three years ago with the aim of encouraging people to hold a Big Lunch with their neighbours once a year – anything from a gathering in your garden to a full-blown street party! This year the lunch falls on the four-day Jubilee holiday weekend and a record number of people are expected to take part.
We’ve stocked up on loads of flags, bunting and patriotic accessories – as well as plenty of party food and drink – to help make sure you’ve got everything you need to celebrate in style. And you can take the hassle out of stocking up by shopping online at Asda.com.
