"The first time I held Freddie was nerve wracking"

Freddie was born at 28 weeks and two days – weighing just 730 grams (1lb 9ozs). His mum and dad had to travel to visit him everyday until finally, after 35 days and an exhausting 3,000 miles, he was transferred to Barnet Hospital just four miles away from home.

Another six weeks later, after a total of 82 days at hospital, Freddie was finally allowed to go home on oxygen support for his due date – his 0th birthday. Watch his story in the video above.
