We’ve installed two new webcams in Bangladesh as part of our effort to increase the transparency of the Asda business and show customers where their products come from. One is in a textile testing lab, the other in the finishing section of a factory making jeans and casual trousers for George. Check them out here. Bangladesh is 7 hours ahead of the UK and weekends are taken on different days and therefore the cameras may be offline during some of our normal office hours.
George factory 1, Bangladesh
This camera shows the testing lab in a factory making jackets, trousers and shorts for George. The team in the lab carry out tests to make sure the fabric and clothing won’t rip or pill, doesn’t lose its shape after washing, doesn’t lose its colour, and that buttons and studs are securely fastened.George factory 2, Bangladesh
This camera is situated in the finishing section of a factory making jeans, casual bottoms and casual shorts for George. After pressing and quality inspections the garments are ready to ship to the UK.More webcams: You can see more webcams here including Carrot Cam, Cow Cam and our webcam in Asda House, Leeds
