Over the next few weeks our Fresh Fish team will be creating recipes using fish from our in-store fish counters and choosing the perfect wine to go with it.

Sea bream and Sauvignon Blanc

Here’s their first recommendation – Sea Bream cooked in chilli and garlic, paired with a delicious Sauvignon Blanc. Download the recipe here.

The Brancott Estate Sauvignon Blanc offers an exhilarating blend of fresh gooseberry and capsicum flavours, ripe tropical notes and crisp acidity which perfectly match the powerful taste of chilli and garlic.

Serve the sea bream with rice or noodles and a selection of steamed vegetables, such as baby corn, sugar snap peas, green beans, red pepper strips and asparagus. Enjoy!

We’ve added two delicious new types of fish to our Fish Made Simple range – John Dory and Dover Sole.

John Dory fish

Both are popular with TV chefs as they go well with a wide variety of ingredients and flavours.

They’re also staples in pricey food halls such as Harrods and Selfridges where they cost between £37-£48/kg – but now you can buy them at Asda for a snip of the price.
