Colleagues organise successful Tickled Pink Community Carnival

There were smiles all round as colleagues from our Wrexham store joined hundreds of people for a fun community carnival in aid of Tickled Pink.

Wrexham Tickled Pink event

The event is organised every year by the store’s community champion Mary Williams and this year several of her colleagues helped out too. The event raised more than £1,000 to support Breast Cancer Care and Breast Cancer Now.

Mary said: "This was the sixth event and we raised £1,071.65 for Tickled Pink. It takes a lot of organising but at the end of the day you always sit down and know it was well worth it.

“It was a fantastic, great day. I’m proud to be involved in it and so pleased that the community supported it too.”

Along with colleagues from our Wrexham store, Asda Birkenhead general store manager Rebecca Scott and Asda Warrington community champion Liz Cotterill came along to show their support too.

The carnival, which is held at Llwyn Isaf library field in Wrexham, featured Morris dancing, face painting and storytelling for the kids, fairground rides, stalls and other entertainment.
