We’ve created a handy hospital checklist for mums-to-be of all the essential items they and their new baby will need.

Hospital checklist on George.com

If it’s your first baby you might not know how many of each item to pack – which is why it’s helpful to have a ready-made list.

You can buy all the items on our downloadable checklist from Asda – including plenty of cute baby essentials from George for the new arrival.

All our George baby clothes are made with 100% soft touch cotton to be kind to delicate newborn skin.

Many expectant mums pack their bag well in advance of their due date to be sure they don’t forget anything!

We asked our Facebook fans what the most useful item was in their hospital bag – you can join in the conversation here.

Here’s just a few of the suggestions:

“Water, could not get enough during labour! The gas and air makes your mouth do dry” - Karen Sinclair

“Scratch mits my little man was born with long nails” - Ste Buster Clough

“Spare bra’s and lots of breast pads for them leakages :/” - Laura Crosbie

“Food! As I had really bad mornin sickness all the way through and couldn’t keep anythin down and the min I had my baby I could eat and keep everythin down so I couldn’t get enough food!!” - Shelley Watson

“Lip balm and a hair bobble!” - Nikki Cooper-Tomkins

“Holiday-sized lovely shampoo/conditioner/showergel/toothpaste etc I was in for 3 nights and that after-labour shower feels even more amazing if you have a bit of luxury with you, rather than using hospital soap etc” - Julie Whitney

“Lots of knickers & maternity pads & plenty of toiletries for showering.” - Gemma Taylor

Our award-winning Little Angels skincare range is hugely popular with mums – and now you can try some of our bestselling products with these handy trial packs.

Little Angels trial packs

Both packs – for mum and for baby – are just £3 each in our latest Asda Baby Event available online and in store.

The Little Angels Try me Baby Pack includes our popular Liquid Talc which was a big hit with mums when it first launched. It goes on like a lotion and dries to a light powder to help prevent chapping without the hassle of trying to apply normal talc to a wriggly baby!

Also in the pack you’ll find the Softly Does It Baby Wash and Little Miracles Soothing Balm, both of which will help protect your baby’s skin and leave it feeling soft.

Our Little Angels range was voted Best High Street Baby Skincare in this year’s Mother and Baby Awards and each product is hypoallergenic, dermatologically tested and paediatrician-approved making them suitable for newborn babies.

All the products in the Little Angels Try Me Mum Pack have been chosen to help care for your skin during and after pregnancy.

Our Stretchmark Cream contains cocoa butter for moisturising and rosehip oil to promote supple skin and boost skin elasticity. The pack also includes Soothing Nipple Cream and Rich Moisture Cream which contains lavender and chamomile extracts to help you feel relaxed and calm.

It’s a great way to try some of our bestselling skincare products and the packs will make great gifts too for a mum-to-be.

If your little one is approaching their first birthday you may be thinking of switching them onto cow’s milk … but there is a better alternative.

Cow & Gate Growing up Milk

Parents sometimes ask us what the difference is between Growing Up Milk and cow’s milk and the answer is simple – Growing up Milk is specially designed to meet the nutritional needs of toddlers.

Between the ages of 12 months and three years your toddler will be growing and developing extremely fast and so will need extra vitamins and iron. The Government recommends that you supplement your toddler’s diet with extra Vitamin A, C and D.

Giving your toddler Growing Up Milk is an easy way to do this as it is enriched with vitamins A, C and D, iron and omega 3 and 6. You can buy Growing Up Milk at Asda – just 300ml a day alongside a balanced diet will give your toddler the extra nutrients they need.

You can find out more about how fast your toddler is developing by watching the video above or visiting growingupmilkinfo.com.

Special Offer: Cow & Gate Growing Up Milk is one of the deals in our January Baby Event – you can buy a large pack (900g) for just £6. Suitable for babies age 1-2 years.
