Fortunately enough, recently I found out that I was selected for the England U18 rugby squad. After lots of training and hard work, it was a relief to find out that all that had paid off. Many thanks to my all coaches for helping me get this far.
Today and Yesterday I made two visits to my local Asda. Pictured above is me with Roger Hagon of Asda High Wycombe helping with charity work by selling bingo tickets. It was good meeting the staff and helping out for the two days.
With my school’s rugby season just about to start I shall keep the blog updated with the scores of our matches.
I was fortunate enough to be selected for the England U18 camp which took place on Aug 24th-26th. Everyone was nervous as it was the first one but we trained well and next years team looks very promising.
In addition we did a series of test including a 10m and 40m sprint test where I got times of: 10m = 1.61secs 40m = 4.83secs which were the quickest times in the squad.
Last night I was fortunate enough to be selected to play in the Wasps A squad which would face London Irish. As this was men’s professional rugby, I was nervous when warming up as I started on the bench due to it being my first game.
However, when I came on with 15 minutes to go I was so excited to play and settled down quickly after getting a few early touches and runs with the ball. After 5 minutes of being on I was fortunate enough to score on my debut which was an amazing feeling.
The final score was Wasps 45-15 London Irish; a night to remember.

Hi, my name's Tom Howe and I have a massive passion for rugby. I started off playing when I was 4 and when I was 10, I realized that this was the one thing I wanted to pursue and excel in. I am currently in the England U17 team and last year represented England U16 team and South West.
