Just played my first tournament of the year, it was a senior tournament so I was one of the youngest people there. I had a tough draw and got to the Last 16. I then had the number one seed. I was being told by everyone that the person I was about to play was going to beat me easily. I got onto court and lost 22-20 21-19. I played well and think I may have shocked a few people on how well I did against him. I then played doubles and my partner and I never played together before but we still played well and got to the quarter finals. Overall for the first tournament of the season I think that it went pretty well got another one in two weeks and I will keep you updated about this.

Now all of my tournaments have finished I am now in hard summer training :) Oh the fun of this. Just wanted to keep you updated that my training is going well and I am injury free and looking forward to the season to come.
I have just had my Warwickshire Badminton presentation last weekend and I had to talk to about 100 people :/ SCARY. However it went well and I collected my three gold medals. Overall it was a good day and had a lot of little kids asking me tips about playing. Had a lot of fun and cant wait for the tournaments to start again in the new season.
Over the last two weeks I have had the under 17 and under 19 National Championships. Last week was the under 17 National Champions. I won the doubles, Lost in the final of the singles and had to pull out of the semi final of the mixed doubles due to my partner being injured. I was very happy with these results and was looking forward to challenging the under 19 players.
I have just got back from the under 19 Nationals and I had a hard draw with the 5/8 seed in singles first round. I beat him quite comfortably and breezed through to the quarter finals. I lost to him 18-21 21-9 15-21. He then went on and won the tournament. Then for doubles we were 5/8 seeds.
We knocked out the 3/4 seeds in the quarter finals to make it to the semi finals. We were then up against the number 1 seeds. We lost the first set 14-21 won the second set 21-9 and won the third set 21-11.
We then lost to the number 2 seeds 21-11 and 21-19. Not a bad weekend considering I entered two years young.

I have just got back from the under 17 European Championships.
In the singles i got to the last 16 and lost to a German lad in three sets.
In Doubles My partner and I got to the Quarter Finals and lost to a swedish pair 20-22 19-21.
In mixed doubles my partner and I lost in the quarter finals and lost to the winners in two close sets.
In the team event we got to the final but lost out to denmark 3-1. But on the way to the final we knocked out number 6 seeds France and Number 2 seeds Russia.
Overall it was an amazing 10 days in Portugal and England did better than they were expected to do.
