Hey,

I visted the store today and got presented with the cheque from when the athletes from my training group and I did some bag packing :) a few weeks ago.

This past month has been a bit busy with me starting sixth form etc so when I came to the store today, I let the community life champion that I have been working with for the past year know how I am and how my injury has come along and that Im back in training for the winter now. It was really just a nice little catch up.

:) x

Last week the majority of my athletics group and I did some bag packing to raise some money at my partnered ASDA store. It started off a little bit slow but soon after things started rolling and we ended up raising a fantastic £503!

With the money raised I will give half to my athletics club and the rest towards travel, training & physio expenses.

We also enjoyed helping and talking to the customers about how amazing the Olympic opening ceremony was!

Hi Guys,

Earlier this month I represented South East of England at the 2012 Sainsbury’s School Games. It was a competition held from May 6th-9th comprising of a range of sports, there was gymnastics, swimming, and cycling just to name a few.

Athletics was on the last day and was I excited… When the day arrived all I could think about was stepping onto the actual Olympic Track that the world’s best athletes will soon be on.

I wasnt really nervous for our 4×300m Relay as I knew the girls and I worked well together and that we would all do what was needed to be done. I was last leg so I got to cheer the girls on, we were in second position when the baton got handed to me, so as soon as I recieved it all I had in mind was to chase the girl infront of me. I overtook her just coming off the back straight and We Won :D.

Next up was my individual 300m race, now I was nervous because after the relay I did feel a little fatigue. I had a talk with my coach and she hyped me up and made me believe I could run the fastest 300m I’ve ever ran before.

With that in mind I just stayed focused and thought about what Jane said. When the gun went I ran as fast as I could all the way to the finish line.

I won in a new personal best and championship best performance in 38.43secs :). I was soo soo happy, it couldn’t have been done in a better place than the Olympic Stadium itself.

The stadium was amazing and the track felt super fast. It just feels special to say I was one of the last few to test and be on the track before the 2012 London Olympic Games begin.

Hey Everyone,

2 weeks ago I ran at the NIA Birmingham for the 2012 U20/U17/U15 Indoor National Championships. Birmingham is my favourite place to compete indoors and it was a great weekend.

On the Saturday I ran my 300m heats and semi’s and I felt really comfortable, this was good because prior to the championships I had a slight tweak in my left hamstring and couldn’t run without feeling any sort of pain.

Sunday was really busy for me I had my 200m heats in the morning, later on I had my 300m finals where I came 1st with a time of 39.16 which is my season’s best and the fastest time In the UK so far this year. Just 15minutes later it was my 200m semi finals which meant I had to come straight off the track after my 300m final and quickly go back to call room for 200m. I had to receive my 300m medal after the race. I qualified for the 200m finals which was later that day.

In the end I came 3rd in the 200m with an indoor best time of 25.02 which ranks me 3rd in the UK this year. By the end of the championships I was very tired and just glad my body got through all of the rounds.

Also I’m very pleased that I was able to retain my Under 17 300m Indoor title from last year
