Australia was AWSOMEEEEE..was a brilliant expirance! was alot of hard work out there against the worlds best but we trained over there and put alot of stuff in to the matches which got better and better as the tour went on..we improved masses from game to games..not only was it hard out there but also just getting there was difficult!!!

It took us 52 hours to get there with us flying over to germany and then having to fly back because something was wrong with the PLANE !!!what an nightmare..so after hours on the hour we were back to square one! when they had finally fixed the problem we had another one the cabin crew had ran out of hours and couldnt fly us there..so we had to miss a day in Aus to spend a night in good old LOndon =(..next day bright and early got back on the plane ready for a smooth fast journey to Aus..but i had watched a full film before even taking off hours on the plane waiting for people taking there lugage of the plane because they didnt want to continue on the flight!! so arriving at Singapore swopping on to the Sydney flight.. we took to the run way ready to jet off into something else went wrong and they had to take us of the run way..CRAZY!! finally arriving in Aus all waiting for a bagage the over head speaker says all bagage has been delivered!! no sight of ares!!!!! ares had been left behind soo if you can image it was the worst flight possible!! but other there the long journey out there it was definitely worth it !! loved it learnt alot and know i was working extra hard to match the aussies games for next time =D

So, this is my first blog, my past few months have been unbelievably busy and I’ve only just had this chance to start blogging so I thought I would start telling everyone about how my life has changed in the past 12 months.

So I made the Superleague Leeds Carnegie Team this season for the second time, at the age of 16 was when I first started playing for the team – this is something I will always remember, as I was and still am to be honest one of the youngest players in the league. It has been an amazing opportunity for me, being able to have brilliant coaches, managers, physios, team players to help me continue to get better and become a much wiser player aswell as fitter.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my season with Leeds Carnegie, having my friends and family watch the games on the tele makes me happy, the first time I saw myself on the tele I laughed and thought OMG do I look like that haha, but it’s amazing that Netball is getting the support to be televised and help increase participation in the sport throughout the country and globally.

So Leeds finished 5th, close to 4th place but just slipping out of the play-offs, which I was gutted about, but now we have a focus for next year, and Im thinking pre-season is going to be very very intense! Haha. I really want to make the play offs though next season, it would be amazing.

Moving on, England this year has been great, I made the U19 Short squad for the European Championships in December, they were held in England this year, so the family all came to support, they loved seeing me run on the court as the commentator called out my name. We won the championships again, the team was amazing, we worked hard, and we played hard.

We learnt a lot through the Championships and the team gelled and I feel as though we acheived not only a success, but a lot as players. Coming home from the tournament with another Gold medal, and my 2nd England cap was a great feeling. My medal sits on my fireplace, and every time I see it memories come rushing back to me of the amazing experience I lived out.

So this year has been wow! Throughout the tough times I’ve had, alongside studying for college exams and balancing friends, family, netball.. I’ve come out on top, and Ive realised I can do something when I put my mind to it!

Also there a big event fast approaching where I am heading down under to Australia!!!!!!! with the england U19s squad.. at the last selection she also chose a squad to fly out to Australia..so i will be jetting off 10th July very very excited =D

So everything is looking good at the moment and i am enjoying every minute of it!

So I will report back when I get home from Oz and share the exciting stuff…

Have a great summer and catch up with you all soon xx
