nottingham open (adult) competition last weekend – came 2nd of 78 after first poule then seeded 1st after the second poule and got bye into the last 64. DEs (direct elimination stage) went well until last 16 when had to fence older very tactical fencer – went to 9-9 then he got ahead to 10-15 :( came 9th overall – really enjoyable comp.
