Well, what a surprise. I won Sports Competitor of the Year for Havering. I attended the ceremony on Feb 6th and was shocked but very proud to be announced as the winner against two fine athletes. My school football team also won the Team of the year so I ended up with 2 awards!!!

Thank you to my PE teacher for nominating and believing in me and to the organisers of the awards for choosing me. I am delighted to have won and pleased that my efforts and hard work over the year(s) have been acknowledged by my school and my borough.

I will continue to work hard and improve my skills to make sure I stay in the England squad and represent my country at the highest level for years to come.

I have recently been selected to attend an England U17 Training Camp at Warwick University which will be held over half term. I am really looking forward to seeing all the girls again and even meeting a few new faces. This camp will determine who goes to the next round of the UEFA qualifiers in April.
I have also been invited to the Havering Sports Awards Ceremony tomorrow as i have been nominated in the Female Sports Competitor Of The Year category. I will blog again to tell you how i get on.

We had a good game this weekend beating Brighton 8-1 and last week beating Norwich 6-0. I think as a team we are gaining even more confidence and hopefully with the luck of other results going our way we win the league. It will be tough though!

I have just returned from an England U17 training camp in Denmark where we played 2 friendly fixtures against the Danes. We lost both matches unfortunately but the second match performance was very good and we were all pleased with how we played. A draw would have been a fairer result. The weather was absolutely awful, I dont think I have ever played in such bad conditions. The camp itself was great and I had a fabulous time with my England mates. We are all working hard to make sure we are ready for the 2nd phase of the UEFA qualifiers next April.

Woo! England Qualified! We came top of the group with 9 out of 9 points. We really gelled together as a team with some positive and motivating coaching! All the staff made the trip an enjoyable and positive experience for me and one that I will remember always. We beat Israel 4-1, Northern Ireland 2-1 and Finland 4-2! I played all 3 games at right back which was an amazing privilege. I received the Finland pennant from Lois (Coach) which was mind blowing and made me feel very proud.

During the trip the whole team went shopping, watched Footloose at the cinema and went out for a nice meal in the evening! We also were able to talk to the Finish, Israeliers and Northern Iish which was quite funny as they didnt fully understand us!

As per usual we had the ice baths and pool sessions but in one of the last pool sessions we were allowed to dive which was amusing as some girls couldnt do it! I had to teach some of my team-mates how to!!!

Overall a fantastic 10 days. I feel like I have learned so much and cant wait for the second phase next April. I am going to work my socks off to make sure I am there.
