At the weekend in Birmingham, I competed in the British Aquathlon Championships. the race was a 400m swim followed by a 2.5k run.

I came out of the swim second, and held my position in transition into the run, on the run Sian Rainsley passed me which put me in third and then Megan McDonald passed me, to put me in fourth. About half way through the run was a 100m climb, then back down the other side of the hill and up the hill I could see the podium places fading away, ad the top of the hill with about 800m to go, I used what energy I had left and sprinted down, past third place and all the way to the finish to take third place.

It was probably the best race I had ever done and this is just the start!
