HI,

My name is Lamar morrison, I am 16 years old and I have been playing basketball for the past five years now. I first started playing basketball with my friends at our local park .

I played for city of Birmingham basketball for four years . I have been to the RAF final fours twice with city of Birmingham one in 2007 where we ended up coming second losing in the final to Manchester magic. we then went again in 2009 where we came third because we lost in the semi final to Sheffield sharks and played in the 3rd and 4th play-offs where we beat Cheshire jets .

I played for England U15 development squad where I learnt how to play basketball on a international level. I found that year real hard because the standard of play was a lot harder and there was many talented players around me. this experience enabled me to strive and become a better player because i could see the talents that I was up against as well as finding a way of how to impact the team the best I possibly could

In august 2009 I played for the England U16s team, we played at the European championships in Portugal where we really gave it our all and represented our country the best we could, by bringing back a bronze medal. I am really proud to be part of this achievement.

I have now moved to Newcastle because I felt that the move would further my basketball career. I now play for the Newcastle eagles U18 team I am also currently training every morning with the Newcastle senior men team which currently play in the bbl and are second in the league. This new experience is tough, but rewarding, I am developing skills and techniques that i need in order to play at the next level.
