I got the chance to spar with some of the best juniors not just in the country but in the world as well i loved every minute of it and cant wait for the next one. I would like to say thank you to the belgium and norwegian teams as they made great training partners and also Gareth Brown who trained and coached us for the three days we were there and a very big thank you to asda for providing me with the funding to attend and also a big thanks to Dean Leak (Gb taekwondo development manager) who organised the event.

Hi all I ’am very excited as i have just found out that i have been invited to attend a 3 day sparring camp with the Belgium and Norwegian national teams. I would like to thank GB taekwondo for holding such an event as it allows me to gain invaluable experience and test my skills and learnings against professional athletes.

I would also like to say a huge thanks to GB’s taekwondo development manager Dean Leak as there are only a few selected athletes within the junior national squad who were selected to attend this camp. This camp will commence on the 18-20 of may I ’am so excited and cant wait.

Hi all as I previously mentioned in an earlier blog I would be competing at the Dutch open which was held on the 17-18 march. I feel that I competed very well as I fought in category that I would not usually have fought in this was due to their being too many people from the same club as me fighting that same weight (This includes my brother Nishaan). Fighting the weight above came across as quite a challenge as I was the smallest competitor in both weight and height in the category however I managed to over come this on the day thanks to my coach Brian Green. The first fight I had was against TUGAY INGÜN from Germany this fight was over very quickly as he did not show up. The next fight was against REDOUAN EL BOULAHIANI from the Netherlands this was a tough fight with the opponent being bigger than me but my coach helped me overcome this obstacle resulting in me beating him 13-1 which I was very happy about. Then unfortunately I suffered a quart final defeat from GB national team player Jamie Abley who beat me 5-0 and then went to a straight final and took gold from Azerbaijan national team. I was devastated as I came so far through the competition and just missed out of the medal zone. Overall the whole experience was fantastic I had alot of fun being out there with my team mates and look forward to doing it again.
