Since my last post things haven’t gone to good for me. Was training when I felt some discomfit in my left knee. After a meeting with the doctor it didn’t look great as he thought that I had torn my meniscus in my knee. I then had an MRI scan which confirmed this. The solution to this is an operation, which is unlikely to happen in time for me to throw again this season. So that’s my season over due to injury.

08/05/2012 – today I competed at the Visa London Disability Challenge which was held at the London 2012 olympic stadium as the paralympic test event. I competed in the ambulant discus event for class F40 – F46 with positions decided on a points system. I threw a seasons best throw of 33.43 meters and finished 7th.

Although I didn’t throw as well as I was hoping to it was still a great experience to throw in the stadium.

13/04/2012 – Today I competed at my first event of the year in Bridgend.
I had a good series of throws with my best throwing marking at 32.03 meters.
A good start to the season and hope to push in my next competition to try and improve on my personal best from last season.
