Im now back into training after the summer break. It’s so hard to get back into but everything is going well and im excited to see what is going to happen this year! I’ve just started college im doing Btec sport level 3 extended diploma. This course works well with my swimming training. I’ve also been choosen to do the Ace programe which you have to excel in your own sport to do, they teach you how to pass on skills to younger athletes.

At english schools you get split in to divisions it all depends where your school is. This means your competing for your team not for yourself. I was in the Northwest division, which was the best team! Overall we came second and i came home with 2 silvers and a gold! Now im into my taper for Nationals! #excited

!(img-mid)!
The olympic park has changed so much since i was last there in march! The pool looked so much bigger. It was amazing to go and watch the other sports and support them! The atmosphere at the pool was amazing to have 5,000 people supporting you and your team was incredible! My team England Central were favourite to win but this time we only came 3rd. But to come back home with 2Pbs and 2 silver medals is great!

Just got back from torremolinos with england talent. Had so much fun out there!

Training outside is so different than indoors, even where to put your bag in the rain becomes interesting. Focussing on backstroke outside is a win lose situation, I get to look at the blue sky or my face can be in the rain, with no roof to keep me straight I have to focus on my swim more instently or else I swam into the lane ropes . Being on a camp it is never all just about swimming, we are placed into a ideal situation ‘focused’ on diet (only managing to sneek a bit of chocolate from the shop) to 5am hydration tests which I A* in.

So after a weeks intensive training I am super fit for my next competition which is the Arena League final on the 22nd of April. This is a great swim meet where all qualifying clubs from all over the country swim against each other! There is a prize for loudest spectators which my club won last year!!!! So watch this space ;o)
