Yesterday and Wednesday were hectic at camp with a number of people coming for tasters. I avoided running on Wednesday due to recent illness etc but got plenty of fencing, riding and shooting in. Had a different horse who tried to play up- bit of a challenge but i persevered…I enjoyed riding in the main arena.

Thursday camp was great- back on Chunky again and worked in the outside arena, assisted Sonja with younger riders as the horses didnt like the wind, 45 minute cross country run with Liam and others- got covered in mud, fencing with a long 1:1 session with Sam. Came home shattered but had a great day.

Shower, revision, tea and bed early ready for the last day of camp on Friday.

Had a bad week last week- poorly and off school and unable to do regional tetrathlon- really disappointed after my focus on shooting and fencing recently. Finally eating again and looking forward to my regional camp on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday this week then a gala on Saturday!

Have concentrated on my pentathlon specific event in recent weeks in preparation for the regional pent/ tet and then the national tri in november.

Yesterday was a great day – back on the bike in team training. Cycling along the familiar route in the autumn sun was good and in spite of the pain of cycling up yet another hill and a slight fall it was fab. My new bike is a dream!

Day off today so socialising and getting up to date with coursework….

Had a great day with 6 swim events. Entry times were quite dated in light of my time out for injury however I did achieve some pbs and even one from last week on the fly. Good to spend the day with the squad and get to know them a little better.

Training is going well and i have found another training opportunity for fencing which I hope to attend this week. The regional training day on the 6th went well. The jumps were increased in number and height on the course providing further challenge for us novices- I love it. My shooting was good and Sonja provided me with some guidance on breathing which helped too. fencing left room for improvement…. Midweek Pentathlon training was good – a run, plenty of shooting and another 1:1 fence.

Had a review physio session on Monday with Ian Kelly and have revised my plan again- more focus on core now rather than rehab.
