Just returned from Morocco after competing in 2 back to back ITF U18 tounaments. The first in the capital Rabat and the second in Mohammedia. I won the first event beating one of the top French girls in 3 sets for the title. I met her again in the second final but lost 6.4 6.4 My doubles partner and I also made it to the finals but were beaten by the French pair. The car broke down on the way back in the middle of nowhere and we had to sleep in the car overnight. It was soooo uncomfortable. We finally got back to Spain a day later. My next competition is in Manila in the Philippines in 3 weeks. I hope to gain some more points there to increase my ranking. I will blog as soon as I get back from Manila. bfn.

Hello again, I have just played the last of my summer tournaments where I won the Girls U14’s National Singles title in Nottingham. So I am now officially on holiday, yeah! After Team GB won the European Summer Cup in Italy, we qualified for the World Cup in Prostejov, Czech Replublic earlier in August. We ‘just’ lost the final by a couple of games (gutted), to the Slovakian team. It was another nail biter, two singles and the deciding doubles match. It would have been a first ever win for GB, but we all had a great time there anyway. I saw lots of friends from around the world, who I keep meeting and playing against at tournaments. After a break I will be concentrating on ITF tournaments, first two are back to back in Morocco. Will blog soon. Gabi

Hello everyone, I have just returned from Italy where team GB won the Summer Cup!!!!!!! photo is> Helen our captain, Jazzi, Me and Maia.
We travelled to Naples for the qualifier, which we won, then on to Loano in the North of Italy for the finals, where we beat Germany after a nail biting (doubles) last match. This is the first time in history that GB girls have won the cup. We are all very excited and pleased with the result, it means we have now qualified for the “World Cup” in Prostejov, Czech Republic in August. The 100 points I got for the tournament have moved my ranking to 7 in Tennis Europe, which I am really happy with.
I flew back to Gatwick from Italy and then directly on to Edinburgh for my first ITF U18’s tournament. Today I won my first ever ITF match. Its sooooo cold here after the 39 degrees in Italy but I think I better to get used to it. Maia Lumsden and I are going for the European Championships in Pilsen Czech Republic in a couple of weeks. I will blog soon, Gabi x

Hi, LTA took a team us of three GB U14 girls to Rakovnik in the Czech Repuplic then the following week we moved on to Piestany in Slovakia. I got to the finals in Rakovnik losing in 3 sets to my team mate Maia. Reached the quarter finals in Piestany against tough competition from mainly Eastern Europe players. It was a tough two weeks but we enjoyed ourselves and it was a great result for team GB. Coming back to UK soon for another lot of tourney’s. Edinburgh, GB Nationals in Nottingham and more trips with the LTA. Maia and myself have been selected to play for GB in the European Championships, back in Czech Repulic, Pilsen, this time. Going to be a busy summer!

Hi everyone, just a brief update to let you know what I have been up to lately. I competed in the U16’s TE Kaleva Open, in Olou (Northern) Finland, where I unfortunately lost the Final but still won significant points to help my European ranking (12).
Next TE tournament was the U14’s Aegon Junior International at the NTC in Roehampton. I won both the singles and doubles with my partner Amanda Schieder (Swiss). At the moment I am on a two week LTA trip to compete in TE events in the Czech Replublic and Slovakia. I will update you when I return.
