Because I was awarded the English Asda Athlete of the Year I was presented with a cheque in store on Thursday. I met Stuart the Store Manager and my new Community life Champion Beverly, the store and the scheme have been very helpful to me the last year and I’m very grateful! I was surprised that I was given the award as I have not had much sporting success so far this year due to injury.
I’ve just found out I have been awarded the Asda Athlete of the Year for England, I’m very grateful for this and extremely happy! Working with the scheme and my local store has been very enjoyable and worthwhile! Thank you to everybody involved!
Recently I received a top-up grant from SportsAid because of my in store visits and updating my blog. Thank you to everybody involved with the scheme, it has been a pleasure being apart of it for the past year!
On Wednesday of this week I’ll be travelling back to the hospital for a third MRI scan, hopefully this will be the last time and I will be able to recover properly.
In the meantime I am using this break from playing to be able to gain some muscle mass and improve my fitness and endurance, as well as as much rehab as possible!
At the weekend I played for Lancashire County Under 18s, against Cheshire County Under 18s, unfortunately I had to go off injured after 20 minutes after I suffered a knee injury. I’m again in the physio room getting treatment and hope to be back fit as soon as possible!
