After finally completing my last GCSE exams, I have been busy with national team duties. As its the follow up to the European championships it is going to be a busy schedule. In the past few weeks I have had training camps in Bristol and have also travelled to France to compete against division A opposition, France, Ukraine and Russia . Tomorrow I am traveling to Spain to compete in another tournament against more division A teams in the form of the host nation, Turkey and Italy. So far it has been an enjoyable experience and I wish to carry on playing for my nation in the future.

To introduce my fist blog entry, I would like to thank the Asda athletes scheme for sponsoring me and helping me with my funding for my position in the England u 16 basketball squad.

The scheme has especially supported me on making the training camps and competing. In the past couple of weeks i have had a two day training camp in Bristol and competed in a tournament in Varese, Italy. The tournament has helped the me individually and the squad a lot for the preparation for the up and coming division A European championships in Lithuania. Whilst in Italy we had a 3 win and 4 loss record, eventually finishing 11th out of 24 u17 club teams.

I have met my local community life champion at Asda Folkestone to collect my cheque and discuss future fundraising plans.
