On the 27th of July 2012 I was selected to play for the England women’s side in an exhibition match again Amersham mens first 11.

We fielded first and I got the fist wicket from a stumping.

Amersham’s mens side set a decent score however, it was chased down in 30 overs by our team.

The photo shows the England Women’s side warming up before the game.

Last Sunday I played my first Hastings Ladies game againsts Guildford. We won the toss and decided to bat first. We lost an early wicket and I went in at number 3. I got 78 runs before being bowled but I felt the team as whole batted quite well and ended up getting a score of 174.

Going into fielding we knew we would have to perform to win the game. During the middle stage of the game we were able to take wickets which put them behind in the run rate, which lead to them going for it and the late stages of the game which allowed us to take more wickets. In the end we bowled them all out 12 runs short and I took a stumping and a catch throughout the game.

Yesterday (27th of June) I represented the MCC Young cricketers in a 50 over match against Eton college boys. We fielded first and kept them to 272 runs and got them 6 wickets down, with 3 of the wickets being my stumpings.

Unfortunately we lost as we were all out. However, I feel as a team we have learnt a lot by playing against a good boys side.
