Asda Athletes

Have come home from a successful weekend in gateshead at the English Schools Championships! Came first with a throw of 12:93 and have also qualified for the schools home international where I will represent England in Ashford, Kent on the 21st of July!

Set off for Uk school games on sunday the 6th of may. During the week we watched different sports such as judo and gymnastics at the excel arean. At the opening ceremony we had jonathan edwards, seb coe and tanni-gray thompson as guest speakers.

Wednesday morning was competition day at the olympic stadium it was cold and raining but manage to get a seasons best and a silver medla and comming second by only 9cm! Had an amazing time!

Friday was district trials which i won and qualified for the county schools in a few weeks. On sunday was the county championships which i won shot and discus retaining my title.

Had my first outdoor competition at the weekend in very cold weather. I ended up throwing 12:26 which wasnt what I was aiming for but it was my first outdoor and the ditance got me the gold. Now for some more hard training ready for the majors!

Just over a month now till the first major competition of the season. UK school games held in the Olympic Stadium! Had a great article in the paper about how I feel on beeing selected so time for some hard work and hopefully it will pay off at the games!

Only a few weeks now until the warm up competitions start and then we’re into the summer season! So time for some more strength work, more speed work and more technique work to make the season a good one! In the video I am doing 2 sets, 5 reps at 80kg.
