Asda Athletes

Hey, everyone!
It is so exciting currently with the Olympics going on, right?

I came back from Romania just in time to watch the action.
I went to Wimbledon last Sunday to watch Murray, but what a washout it was! Proper British summer…

Here is a photo from the doubles win in Timisoara, a G3 itf tournament where I went to quarters in singles and won the doubles with my fellow Briton Christopher Pearce. Good one Chris!

I shall train and watch Olympics for the next week, then a well deserved beach holiday (the first in 3 years!) before I go off for another two G2 tournaments in East Europe.
After that IMG tennis Academy in Florida and School!!!
Consolation? My tutor is just brilliant!

Hello everyone!

It has been a very busy time since my last blog.

First I finished my end of year school exams and I am happy to say I averaged 98.4%! Not bad, right?

I also took the SAT and ACT exams , as I follow the American educational system. I am awaiting the results for those, better be good or my mum will make me take them again….

I played 3 tournaments in Europe recently. A G3 in Ukrzakhid where I came runner up. I came runner up in doubles in Plzen and round of 16 in G1. Thanks a million to ASDA for helping me as I used their sponsorship towards this trip.
I turned 16 years old on the 27th of June! Sweet 16!!!

I celebrated my birthday away from home – as I have done the last 3 years , in Prague with my dad, my coach martin Damm and my fitness coach Pavel.

Thanks guys for making it such a special day for me and thanks for your lovely gifts, too!

Hi, everyone!
Spring has been busy and fruitfull for me.I travelled to Bulgaria and Ukraine for two itf tournaments . I had good results reaching the quarterfinals in singles and winning the doubles in ukraine, partnering louis Roskilly, a fellow Briton.

Hi, I am Alex, I am 15 years old from Liverpool.

I train at the IMG Bollettieri Academy to be tennis professional for the last 3 years. I was training in Liverpool before since the age of 3.5 years old.

I have been competing in the under 18s ITF tournaments for the last year.

I spend 3-4 hours on the court daily and some time in the gym working on my fitness.

I represent GBR in the junior Davis cup since I was 12 years old.

I am very proud and gratefull that Sports Aid and ASDA have selected me this year as part of their project.

I hope to make them proud, also, with my results.

I have 2 strong tournaments coming up in April in Europe, I am very excited competing and looking forward to win as many matches as possible.
