Phase 4 of the park will cost over £40,000 – this is for play equipment which will not only be used on a regular basis by the community but there are around 4-5 play groups planning on having weekly sessions at the park to get the kids active. The Foundation contributed £21,500 to this project.

Magdalene Centre

The Magdalene Centre in Edinburgh has many user groups and has been around in the community for 42 years. They host various groups including parent and toddler, work groups and host a wide range of activities for the most deprived.

They wanted to start giving cookery lessons for parents to help make their money go further and go back to basic cooking. They were short on funds to purchase a new kitchen so the Asda Foundation donated £5,344.20.

The Arden House Project

The Arden House Project is a centre that provides support to service users and also their carers. It also provides support to adults with learning difficulties and ex-veterans suffering from post traumatic stress. Other local community groups use their space too.

As the centre has been around for over 30 years they needed a new kitchen and were short of £8,345 – which the Foundation was only too happy to provide.

The Asda Foundation was only too happy to provide this extra £5000 – which will benefit all of the local community. The whole town will now be able to enjoy the new play park.
