Last weekend I travelled to Hinckley with my school team to play in the finals of the team schools event. We came 3rd overall. The team won one match against a school from London, and lost to the other two teams from Grantham and Worcestershire. I won all my games.
On Saturday 21st April I travelled to The Dome in Doncaster to take part in the English Schools Individual Table-Tennis Championships. The competition had the best player from each county across the country.
I came 1st in my group, having beat three other players 3-0, 3-2 and 3-1. This meant I progressed to the knockout stages. In the last 16 I won my match 3-0, which meant I was in the quarter finals. This was a tough match for me, but i managed to win 3-1. In the semi finals I played and beat a girl from London 3-1. In the final I played a girl from West Sussex. It was a very tight game going all the way, but I eventually won 14-12 in the fifth set to become the English Schools under 16’s Individual Champion.
At the beginning of the Easter holidays I went into Asda Barrow to meet up with Anne Niven the community life champion. We talked about how I could fundraise and we are trying to get something dates organised.
Later in the holidays I spent 4 days in Sheffield training with the England squad. Lots of hard work and physical training! While we were training in the Institute of Sport we met up and had a photograph with Jessica Ennis!

Hi, I am 14, I play table-tennis. I am currently in the IYS squad (International Youth Squad) which gives me a chance to go abroad and represent England. Last year I played for England under 15's in Germany in the Six Nations. I am currently under 14 National Doubles Champion x2 and 15 National Doubles Champion. I have also represented England at the ESTTA schools in under 14's three times in Ireland, England and I am going to Guernsey. I have also been to the UK school games twice, and have been invited again this year, which is going to be held on the Olympic Park. I am hoping to go to the European Youth Championships.
