Today was the first day of the Sainsbury UK School Games which includes numerous sporting events besides hockey.

In this competition I am playing for Ulster/Northern Ireland.

Our first game was against Scotland and all players put in an excellent performance resulting in a 9-0 win for us.

Our next game will be tomorrow against Wales and then on Saturday we will play England.

After the game we had our normal post-match team talk and training and will be attending the opening ceremony for the games.

Today was our second day at the games and we had one match against Wales.

The match was well played and at half time we were 4 nil up. However Wales did start to fight back and the end score was 5-2 to us.

Our next match is against England, who beat Scotland 13-0 and if we can win that game then we should finish top.
