Raced today on the Tryweryn at Bala and came second junior J18 and 5th placed premier paddler out of 15. After a first run which had a fast time however I gained three 2 second time penalties on this run and finished in 5th place after first runs. My second run had a slightly slower time but i did not pick up any time penalties so the final time was faster. This left me with the same position on the results having beaten some of the more experienced paddlers.

Over the last three weekends I have been competing in a three race series to gain one of the three places in the GB junior C1 team. it has been announced today that after achieving three top three junior results and overall second place junior in the country that i have recieved a place on the GB junior team.

With this place i will be competing in the junior European Championships in Bosnia over the summer of this year.
