Ok so first blog here we go……
So, I go to Hartpury college in Gloucestershire, and I guess that’s where most of this blog is going to originate from. Boarding up here after living in London and coming from an all girls Catholic School can be tough and atm I cannot wait to go back home for Half Term!
Right back to the rugby….. Training here is intense most days what with Nolli aka Danielle Waterman (England 15) as our coach for us the AASE girls rugby team. Pretty much am training everyday or in the gym whilst juggling 3 A Levels (Chemistry, Biology and Maths).
But anyway, Monday. With only one lecture we pretty much have training for the rest of the day. Although bit of a different timetable today as we were getting filmed as part of a promotional video for the RFUW promoting girls rugby as a sport following on from the success of the Women’s World Cup. After a video analysis session in which we made some tactical improvements following on from our 90-0 win last week against Cardiff Quins, we went out and split into backs and forwards to practise some moves before joining with the forwards to have a team run in preparation for our Dorking 10’s tournament in Surrey on WEDNESDAY.
Pretty excited especially as it is going to be mainly for the first years, giving us a chance to show our stuff and prove to the second years and the rest of Hartpury that we can still keep our exceptional unbeaten record for years and seasons to come! So not really a lot of pressure then! But no, am definitely up for it should be a good tournament!
Anyway will keep you guys updated,
TTYL x
