After another training session, the final one before the UKSG, I’m happy to say me and my partner are definitely going to be successful! Hoping for all the wins of course but just one or two will be great! Look forward to seeing some of you other ASDA Athletes there

Well, that has to be the most successful, exciting and enjoyable start to a week I have ever had!
Down in London for the UKSG as a tandem pilot, and managing to pick up 6 out of 6 gold medals, was the best experience I have ever had. Racing on the new Olympic Velodrome and doing some quick times is definitely the highlight of the 4 days.
A big shout out to my stoker, Joe Widdowson, for putting in the effort in and managing to do so well.
Definitely want to do it again!
After 10 weeks of preparation for the UKSG being a pilot, I now have to take the back seat… Literally!
Me and my Dad are entering the National Tandem Sprint Championships which should be a world of fun!
Hopefully we’ll get a medal, if not a national jersey!

Well, after all the excitement from the UKSG and winning 6 gold medals, the tandem championships with my Dad weren’t as successful.
Instead of 6 out of 6 wins we ended up 6th out of 6 in the Sprint Final.
A
h well, great experience of riding with the big lads but don’t think I’ll ride with my Dad again…
Until next time friends
The National Clarion Championships on the 9th June will give me a good indication of where I’m at as far as ability goes and if I’m set to win a National Title later this year in August.
I hope to do well in this Omnium event and take home the gold, reclaim the glory of the UKSG and all previous gold medals.
Wish me luck!!!
