I attended the workshop at St James Park. It was a good day with Chris Tomlinson GB long jumper guest speaking, he spoke about his story to the level he is at today and his ups and downs throughout his journey to date. I also had the opportunity to interact and ask any questions.

I got to meet all of the other ASDA athletes from the North East from varying sports which was interesting.

The afternoon session consisted of a practical session which required each athlete to conduct and complete some media interviews, which was a bit daunting at first as we had been asked questions, recorded then played back for feedback. I became more comfortable and confident as the day went on.

I was presented with my ASDA sporting chance Kit and ASDA athletes guide/pack which contained a cheque for the grant that I have been rewarded with and introductory information.

Thank you ASDA and Sports aid for a good day and the support!

I am now back in full training after my hamstring injury at the end of the indoor season. With a lot of training emphasis been focused on hamstring recovery and prehab. I think I am close to been back to where I was prior to injury from a fitness point.
I have written all of my competition dates into my ASDA athletes wall planner.
With only 5 weeks until my first competition!
The aim for the next few weeks is to train HARD…..BUT…..SMART
