Hi all, I had a great holiday with my family in Naples in Florida. The rest of my Summer was spent getting ready for the new Season starting in September. So is been Strength and Conditioning sessions at the gym; lessons from my Dad, John McKenzie and Bob Jamieson, couldn’t thank them enough. Also received the great news of passing all my Standard Grade Exams at School.

Looking forward to the start of the Fencing Season with the 2011 UK School Games; I’m representing Scotland in the Womans Foil Team, should be a real fun weekend in Sheffield. Then its a lot of important U-17 Cadet and U-20 Junior Competitions back-to-back. Hoping to do really well in my last year at Under 17’s; but I’m really focused on the U-20 Junior Events so I can be selected to represent Scotland at the Junior Commonwealth Championships in Jersey.

I’ve also introduced myself to one of the new Community Colleagues – Amanda at my local Asda in Glenrothes. I’m going to do a Story Board for the store letting shoppers know about me and my sport. I will also be going back to sort out dates for fund raising.

I’ve also been busy helping out Dunfermline and West Fife Sports Council with their Sports for all Festival press release. Its a great event where the public can go and try out any of the 25 sports on offer for the first time. Also in the same article myself and two other young sports people (Caroline Weir – Football and Boris Mingay – Hockey) were written about due to our Nominations to carry the Olympic Torch. We’ve made it through the first cut, so fingers crossed till December!

So the Blog is going to be rather busy over the next few weeks, I’ll try and make sure its all good news lol and there’s a few pics too.
